The Difference of Nutritional Factors for High School Female Tennis Players before and during the Competition

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to report the difference of nutritional factors for high school female tennis players pre and during the competition. A total of 7 tennis players (4 elite and 3 non-elite) participated in this study. All participants reported the total food lists and amounts of ingestion prior to 3 days and during 3 days the competition. The total calorie of prior to the competition for elite group (2869.7¡¾426.6 §») was significantly higher than non-elite group (1743.4¡¾220.8 kcal). The amount of carbohydrate for elite group (pre: 242.2¡¾188.4 g, during: 241.6¡¾ 201.4 g) was statistically higher than non-elite group (pre: 173.9¡¾127.1 g, during: 206.8¡¾123.7 g) pre and during the competition. There were no different amount of protein and fat between two group before and during the competition. The amount of calcium and phosphorus were also no different among the groups The consumption of iron was different prior to the competition (15.95¡¾3.09 vs. 10.36¡¾2.40 §·). The elite group (1.76¡¾0.30 §·) consumed vitamin B©ûmore than non-elite group (1.21¡¾0.23 §·) during the competition. No different other vitamines between two groups pre and during the competition.
